Elizabeth Bales, known as Liz by her friends and family, is a professional developmental editor for a medical textbook publishing house in Philadlelphia. She is also currently working on a masters in Writing Studies. When she's not reading and writing for her own personal pleasure, Liz loves helping others gain some of those same skills. In working one-on-one with authors, she enjoys getting to know them and works hard to tailor her approach to their specific strengths, weaknesses, and needs. ILiz prides herself on being a good listener and serving as a patient, supportive, and encouraging coach as her authors tackle their writing challenges. Liz's experience and love of language contribute to her ability to successfully explain grammar, punctuation, and style; answer questions about the mechanics of writing; and guide writers in developing genuine and powerful writing they’re proud to share with others.
Liz is originally from New Jersey but has lived in Philadelphia for the past five years. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Mary Washington, a M.S in Publications Management from Drexel University and she expects to complete her MA in Writing Studies from Saint Joseph’s by Spring of 2017. When she is not studying, or working, she enjoys reading young adult fiction, taking hikes with her dog Walter and watching marathons of HGTV Fixer Upper.
